About Course

Eligibility : Plus Two with Biology Science

Minimum educational qualification: Plus Two (Higher Secondary) with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology; minimum 50% aggregate in these subjects.
Nativity: Must be an Indian citizen of Kerala origin.
Age limit: Minimum 17 years; upper age limit is 49 years for service candidates; no upper limit for general candidates.
Duration of the course: 2 years, including 1 year of internship.
Examination: Conducted after 1 year of classes and practicals; includes 2 theory papers and a practical exam by DME, Kerala.
Internship: Mandatory 1-year internship after passing exams to receive diploma.
Attendance requirement: Minimum 80% attendance required to appear in the final exam.
Internal assessment: Minimum 50% required.
Exam and diploma authority: Director of Medical Education (DME), Kerala.
Subjects covered:
- Paper I – Fundamentals of Nephrology and Dialysis Technology
- Paper II – Recent Advances in Nephrology and Dialysis Technology

Examination

Final Examination: Conducted at the end of the first year.
Theory:
- Number of Papers: 2
- Maximum Marks: 100 marks each
Practical:
- Includes demonstration of various dialysis procedures followed by Viva Voce.
- Maximum Marks: 100 (50 for Practical + 50 for Viva)

About Course

This program is designed to equip students with the skills and knowledge required to assist in surgical procedures and manage anaesthesia-related responsibilities in operation theatres. It provides hands-on training in operation theatre techniques, sterilization, and the use of biomedical equipment.

Eligibility: Plus Two (Higher Secondary) with Biology Science
Duration: 2 years of academic study followed by a compulsory 6-month internship

Basic Science including Pharmacology
Biomedical Equipments
Operation Theatre Techniques

A minimum of 50% marks in each of the subjects is required for a pass. Pass certificate will be issued only on successful completion of six months practical training. As part of the internship no stipend is payable.
